Sustainable Life Design

This course is for anyone who wants to get serious about their contribution to a more sustainable world either through their life or work.

In this week long immersive class, we assess how sustainable your current lifestyle already is.

During the week, you design a plan to implement immediately and throughout the rest of the year.

You’ll identify your individual natural song, and its shifting melodies, harmonies and rhythms. 

Then, we’ll explore which sustainability and transformative frameworks can help you best to achieve long-cherished dreams goals as well as reach new goals.

The Sustainable Life Design course may be a good fit if:

  • You know some of your lifestyle choices could use an upgrade.
  • You would like to be part of restoring health to earth’s ecosystems in a more tangible way.
  • You are on the cusp of beginning a new chapter of your life.
  • You’re excited to see what could change for the better in your life and work.
  • You have health issues that would benefit from gentle mindfulness practices combined with practical life changes.

Schedule

Day 1

The first day we review the Sustainable Life Design Assessment. We’ll explores how the global affects the local and the personal and vice versa. We’ll look at your life in terms of the global sustainability big five: climate change, water, waste, wild places, and healthy soil. You’ll have options to explore zero waste, decarbonization, regenerative agriculture, mindful consumption, and other ideas that might be a part of expanding your sustainable life.

Day 2

On day 2, you’ll receive the 7 Restorative Resets Video and the Where to Begin Worksheet. In class, we’ll discuss how to decide which reset is most important now, and choose one of the resets for you to work with.

Day 3

We’ll review different frameworks for change such as story, the big picture, aligning with song, and determine which one might be most appropriate for you given the reset you want to create in your life. 

Day 4: 

The focus on this day is how we collaborate with others to make your personal sustainable lifestyle have local and global impact. You don’t have to become a global activist to make a difference in the world. We’ll discuss many ways to connect with others whether an introvert, extrovert, just starting out in your life, or retired.

Day 5: 

The final day of the class will be a day for asking questions, sharing insights and finalizing your sustainable life design plan and how you will implement it.
